Initial Consultation
Miriam Book visits you to discuss your garden. She will make some
suggestions and outline possible ways of tackling it. An initial fee
is payable for this visit of £50 plus travel expenses. It will
then be possible to tell you what the full design costs will be for
your garden. Prices start from £350 for a concept plan for a small
garden.

2.
Briefing
When you have confirmed that you wish to proceed, a full briefing aims
to discover all the uses you have for your garden and the aesthetic and
practical features you require in it, your favourite plants - and the
ones you hate! It is also necessary to set a realistic budget. This is
a really important part of the process, Miriam wants to help you create
your dream garden, one that suits your taste and lifestyle.

3.
Survey
The garden is measured accurately including positions of existing plants
and changes in level. Soil is sampled for analysis. This ensures that
the plan will fit the garden and suitable plants will be suggested.

4.
Concept Plan
The design for your new garden shows all new features, suggests materials
and outlines construction detail.

5.
Planting Plan
The name of every plant and where it is to go, also a "shopping
list" of plants. Miriam can help you to obtain the plants specified.

6.
Implementation
A contractor is found to carry out the works. You can employ someone
that you know or you will be helped to find a local firm.
